Electric Daisy Carnival
Electric Daisy Carnival; better know as EDC celebrated its 5th year at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from June 19-21. Festivities kicked off Monday, June 15 at Marquee Nightclub with Borgeous performing live to a sold out crowd, and concluded Tuesday, June 23rd at Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace with Showtek keeping the party going strong until the end. The annual festival brought over 300,000 EDM enthusiasts to Las Vegas hotels, nightclubs and pool parties throughout the week to see their favorite performers together at one music festival including underground favorites like 12th Planet, Datsik, Carl Cox, Flosstradamus, and Zomboy who were performing live alongside top dj’s and producers like Fatboy Slim, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Martin Garrix and Hardwell. Whether you’re a fan of drum n’ bass, dubstep, Detroit techno, tribal house, big beat or dirty Dutch, EDC has something to offer for everyone. P.L.U.R.
Independence Day in Las Vegas
The Fourth of July is the birthday of America and there is no better place to celebrate our countries founding than Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World. With a myriad of events and special performances including firework displays from the rooftops of most casinos on the Strip (and lets be honest, who doesn love fireworks?!?) Vegas is an ecellent option to get away for a mid summer vacation to enjoy the parties, gaming, dining or any of the multitude of other options Las Vegas has to offer. And as an added bonus, there are many hotel deals available for this time of the year for guests to take advantage of.
World Series Of Poker
The World Series of Poker is one of Las Vegas’ most popular events. Beginning in 1970 by Binion’s Horseshoe Casino when Benjamin Binion asked seven of the worlds best poker players to sit down for the first championship of poker organized tournament; the tournament has grown exponentially over the years to over two thousand participants in its current form. Harrah’s Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment) purchased the rights to the tournament in 2004 and moved the event to the Rio Casino Hotel & Resort where it starts in May and runs through to the main event (final table) being staged in November offering the winners millions of dollars in prizes.
NBA Summer League
NBA summer league will be going into its 11th year in Las Vegas July 10-20. Hosted around the corner from the MGM Grand at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada Las Vegas campus, the NBA Summer League brings the newly recruited rookies to play in mixed roosters with seasoned players to test how strong the potential line-ups will be during regular season play. This year will host 14 NBA playoff teams from this year including the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers across it’s two-week span here in Sin City.
Labor Day Weekend in Las Vegas
Labor Day Weekend (or LDW as we call it) is one of the busiest weekends for Las Vegas. Every 1st Monday in September hundreds of thousands of tourists, sightseers and those just getting away for a 3 day weekend reguarly come to Vegas to take advantage of our award winning accommodations and some of the biggest parties imaginable, culminating in one big end of the summer party that is sure to take attendees into the fall with a bang(and maybe a hangover).
I Heart Radio Music Festival
Celebrating its 5th year in Las Vegas, the I Heart Radio Music Festival brings together some of the industry’s top recording artists like Taylor Swift, The Black Eyed Peas, Rhianna, Zedd, Miley Cyrus Justin Timberlake and more in one incredible gathering of talent rarely put together. Held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena across 2 days in late September, I Heart Radio is one of the biggest and most beloved concert events in the world!
M.A.G.I.C. Las Vegas
Fashionistas from all over the world flock to Las Vegas each August for the annual M.A.G.I.C. Convention and Project fashion marketplace. Brands from across the world showcase their new designs and lines of clothing to the public, bringing a whos who in the fashion industry to town. This year’s event takes place August 17-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Mandalay Bay Events Center.
Life is Beautiful Festival
Heading into its third year when it hits the streets of Downtown Las Vegas September 25-27, 2015, the festival provides a little bit of something for everyone with such headliners as Stevie Wonder, Duran Duran, Imagine Dragons, Kid Cudi, Hozier and Kendrick Lamar. The event continues to grow quickly, especially after partnering with Insomniac Entertainment(the company behind EDC) and adding an EDM stage that will feature such headliners as Porter Robinson, RL Grime, Madeon and Tommy Trash. The 3 day lifestyle event brings together amazing music, world-famous food, iconic public speakers and eclectic arts through the streets of Downtown Las Vegas.
